Today’s Tip: Wild Strawberries For Stomach Upsets

Submitted by A Natural Day on Saturday, 21 November 2009No Comment

wild strawberryThose little strawberries you see growing in your backyard are not weeds but rather have numerous medicinal uses! Known as wood or wild strawberries, the fruit, roots, and “young leaves” can all be used. A tea made with the leaves can be used to calm down diarrhea, stomach upsets, and liver disorders. A poultice made of the leaves is great for treating ulcers and “infected wounds” while the fruit is a good source of Vitamin C and is effective as a fever reducer. Fresh juice from these berries makes a great astringent too!
