Pink On Prince William’s Hunting Habits
A few years ago rock star Pink wrote a letter to England’s Prince William encouraging him to to treat animals better by not, um, hunting them. And now she has gotten a response, apparently stating how the prince was raised shooting warm fuzzy animals and that it’s “tradition.”
“I wrote to him to protest about fox hunting and I figured he would be this stuffy, priviledged asshole,” the singer told Q Magazine. “But he’s like a redneck from the south. If you’re brought up shooting and hunting animals, if you really think it’s second nature and you’re blasting away then it’s hard to see the other point of view. You need educating.” Exactly! “When diet is wrong medicine is of no use. When diet is correct medicine is of no need.” –Ayurvedic Proverb

We British led the way in banning the slave trade and in banning slavery in the Empire, we led the way in banning bear baiting and cock fighting, and we led the way in banning hunting and hare coursing. We must continue to make progress and not let our civilisation take a backward step.
Good for Pink! The royals should be role models and not the poster boys for the bloodsports minority. David Cameron has put the hunting act in jeopardy and now we need to fight to uphold it.
